On December 3rd, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (CET time) and on the YouTube channel of the Barcelona City Council, you can attend the awards ceremony of the World Data Viz Challenge 2020 Barcelona-Kobe, a dataviz competition organised jointly by these two cities.

During the event, the finalists will present their projects and the prizes will be awarded to the best ones according to the evaluation of each city’s jury.

Everyone interested in the world of data, smart cities, urban planning and other relevant areas, are welcome to attend.

The event will be moderated by Ms Tere Serra i Majem, member of the jury.

On behalf of the Barcelona City Council, the event will be attended by:

  • Ms Laia Bonet, Deputy Mayor of 2030 Agenda, Digital Transition, Sports, Territorial and Metropolitan Coordination
  • Mr Michael Donaldson, Commissioner for Digital Innovation, e-Government and Good Governance

and, on behalf the city of Kobe:

  • Mr Kaoru Onda, Deputy Mayor of Kobe
  • Mr Taisuke Matsuzaki, Director for Smart City Projects, Cross-Sector Coordination Lab, Planning and Coordination Bureau, Kobe City Council

Mr Yasushi Sato, Consul General of Japan in Barcelona, will also participate at the event.
