API Catalog

Developers can access all catalog data using the API (Application Programming Interface). This concept refers to the processes, functions and methods offered by a programming library, as an abstraction layer, to be used by another computer program.

The base URL for the API is "opendata-ajuntament.barcelona.cat/data/api/"

The API is provided by the CKAN itself and full documentation can be found at https://docs.ckan.org/en/2.9/api/.

An example of using this API would be to obtain the complete catalog in:

• JSON: JSON Catalogue (API)
• RDF: RDF Catalogue
• CSV: CSV Catalogue

We also use the extension DCAT. DCAT is an RDF vocabulary designed to facilitate interoperability between data catalogs published on the web. Provides accessories allowing CKAN expose and consume other metadata catalogs.
